Richard Gere, a well-known American actor, has sold his Connecticut estate for almost 11 million dollars, according to PEOPLE. He plans to relocate to Spain.

The 75-year-old actor, considered one of the sexiest men alive, bought the New Canaan home for $10.8 million in 2022. He purchased it from singer-songwriters Paul Simon and Edie Brickell, who had originally acquired it for $16.5 million.

Richard Gere lived on the property with his wife, Alejandra Silva (41), for two years and once considered turning it into a farm. The house built in 1938 features six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a pool, multiple gardens, and a three-bedroom guest cottage across 32 acres.

Recently, Gere opened up about his plans to move overseas, making this sale a step toward his new chapter in Spain. He and his wife Silva have resided in the United States since they married in 2018. This is Gere’s third marriage.

His wife is from Spain and the couple would like to be closer to her family.
