King Charles has announced a second update on his health this week during a chat with a canc3r survivor in Bradford.
The monarch, 76, attended a royal away day on Thursday with Queen Camilla as they headed up north to carry out a handful of engagements.
One of these engagements experienced the King visit Impact Hub Yorkshire, where he met local business owners that support diverse communities in the city. One of the business owners he met was Safeena Khan, who runs a local floristry business.
The King, who is still suffering from canc3r treatment after being diagnosed last year, reportedly seemed open as he spoke about his health, putting his thumbs up when asked how he was.
He also answered in a simple nine-word message: “I’d like to think I’m on the better side [of my canc3r journey]”.
Sharing about her interaction with the monarch, Khan said: “He asked me how I was, and I asked him how he was. There were some pleasantries towards the end, but it was a lovely conversation.”
This is the second time the monarch has shared about his health this week.
At a garden party at Buckingham Palace earlier this week, Charles, 76, spoke to Stamford Collis, 22, an international relations student at Exeter University who is battling cancer.
Collis said: “He (the King) was asking me about the treatment I have starting in June and spoke to me about food and diet.
“He also asked me if I had undergone radiation treatment, which I had earlier this year.”
The King was heard to say to Collis: “It’s sometimes about the diet and what you eat. It can help.”
