A 2018 picture of the former First Lady standing beside French First Lady Brigitte Macron has resurfaced online, fueling a flurry of social media discussion, especially about Melania’s backside.

The widely shared photo, taken during the Macrons’ official state visit to Washington, shows both first ladies dressed in white while posing at the White House.
While their serious expressions and coordinated outfits initially drew some notice, attention quickly shifted to Melania’s figure.
“Wait … she’s been hiding that,” one commenter joked.
As often happens online, some users speculated about whether Melania had had cosmetic enhancements.

Following the 2018 visit, Brigitte Macron had kind words for Melania during an interview with Le Monde.
“She’s actually really fun. We have the same sense of humour. We laugh a lot together,” Brigitte shared.
She also pointed out the restrictions Melania faced as First Lady.
“She can’t even open a window at the White House. She can’t go outside. She’s much more constrained than I am. I go out every day in Paris,” Brigitte explained.
Reflecting on Melania’s public image, she added:
“She has a strong personality but tries to hide it. She laughs easily but shows it less than I do. She’s kind, charming, intelligent, and very open.”

While Melania was frequently seen alongside Donald Trump during his first term from 2017 to 2021, she has largely remained out of the public eye since his return to the White House this year.
A source told People in February that Melania is focused on her own interests and “couldn’t care less how she looks politically.”
“Just because she’s quiet in a crowd doesn’t mean she’s disinterested,” the insider explained. “Her mind is on her own life and what matters to her.”
The source also described how she and Trump have settled into a routine:
