Prince Harry issued rare update on King Charles following their first meeting in over a year

After their first meeting in more than a year, Prince Harry has provided a rare report on his father, King Charles III.

The connection between the father and son is a little strained; they last saw each other 19 months ago in February of last year, when the Duke immediately left his California home to visit Charles in the UK after learning that he had cancer.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that royal admirers were eager to see how yesterday’s eagerly anticipated reunion (10 September) would unfold.

On Wednesday night (10 September), just over an hour after leaving Charles’s London home at Clarence House, where the two spent some time together, Harry mixed with government ministers and corporate sponsors at an Invictus reception at The Gherkin in the City of London.

According to reports, the 54-minute meeting happened just months after Harry publicly stated his desire for a reunion with his family in May.

When asked by a reporter shortly after arriving at the Invictus reception how his father was, Harry replied: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”

Less than twenty-four hours after the King’s health was announced, Harry and Charles had their final meeting without Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, and their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Harry resigned as a working senior royal in 2020.

The interaction seemed to go on for a little more than half an hour.

Harry personally donated £1.1 million to Nottingham’s Community Recording Studio, a Children in Need charity project that helps youth impacted by violence, on Tuesday, September 9.

“Changemakers in the city continue their mission to create safe spaces… and offer hope and belonging to young people who need it most,” the Duke of Sussex said of the donation, which, as we all know, came from his own money rather from his Archewell organization.

But it didn’t take long for the anti-Harry and Meghan crowd to launch a full-scale attack against Harry’s kind donation, which they referred to as being on the “charm offensive.”

Luckily for the father of two, a lot of people retaliated to support the “genuine” and “caring” donation.

Today, September 11, marks the end of Harry’s four-day vacation. The Duke will return to California by plane after concluding his visit by touring a foundation founded in his mother’s honor.
