9 dirties on body parts that you never thought were dirty
If I asked you what the dirtiest area of your body is, you might say the anus or say you have no idea, but that is exactly what I am here to discuss in this post. Because it comes into contact with feces, most people believe the anus to be the dirtiest area of the body. However, studies have revealed that our mouths, tongues, and other body parts are home to a wide variety of germs, making them the dirtiest areas of our bodies. If you’re still not convinced, consider the following list of the dirtiest bodily parts:
1. The underarms
Believe it or not, this part of the body collects more than 80,000 bacteria. This is the reason why an unpleasant odor starts spreading when you don’t apply a deodorant or antiperspirant.
2. The ears
The wax in the ears lubricates the ear canal and protects it from bacteria, water, and insects. However, when not regularly and properly cleansed, the ears can develop fungal infections.
3. The fingernails
The skin under the nails contains the deadliest bacteria. When not cleaned adequately, these bacteria may cause all kinds of health problems.
4. The head
Different kind of bacteria can be present in the hair, making the head one of the dirtiest body parts. In order to avoid health problems, you need to wash your hair on a regular basis to suppress the spreading of microbes.
5. The belly button
This body part is the perfect environment for bacteria. When you don’t clean your navel when you shower, the bacteria may lead to naval stone which could later develop in some kind of tumor.
6. The anus
Since this body part is in constant contact with feces and bacteria, it needs to be properly washed with water after defecation to prevent the spread of microbes.
7. The nose
In order to prevent accumulation of bacteria, you need to cleanse your nose on a regular basis.
8. The mouth
This may appear strange, yet it is true. It is considered to be the dirtiest part of our body. This is due to the fact that it contains over 700 distinct varieties of bacteria. Are you aware of the causes of bad breath? As a result, start rinsing your mouth regularly and brushing your teeth twice a day to maintain them clean and healthy.
9. The Tongue
Despite its location in the mouth, the tongue is a filthy organ in and of itself. Not just the mouth, but even the tongue, contains enough bacteria to make you sick. When germs are present on our tongue, it might change color. Brush your tongue on a regular basis to maintain it clean.
