Kate Middleton and the rest of the royal family have recently faced significant challenges in their lives. She had been battling cancer but has finally overcome it. The Princess of Wales recently completed chemotherapy and made a surprise appearance to commemorate her return to royal duty.
Earlier this week, a teenager suffering from a rare ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀ was invited to Windsor Castle for an investiture ceremony led by Prince William. Kate Middleton met the braveheart there and made a spectacular and romantic gesture, drawing the teenager in for a warm embrace.
A few heartwarming photos emerged from the meeting after aspiring photographer Liz Hatton of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, was granted special permission to take pics at the ceremony. “A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both. Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. W&C.” The Prince and Princess of Wales posted on social media.
“To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand,” Kate had pledged in a video message she had previously shared while undergoing ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀ treatment. It is fantastic to see the Royal Princess upholding her pledge and actually standing shoulder to shoulder with those going through the difficult battle that ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀ entails.
“There was nothing about them that suggested they were superior. They were just really human, to be honest, and really natural. There was never a moment of awkwardness. It was normal to talk to them. They talked a lot about my photography,” Liz told the Mirror, as she raved about the future King and Queen.
Liz reflected on her conversation with the Royal couple, stating that Kate mentioned her personal passion in photography briefly. She also inquired about the camera that the 16-year-old photographer was using. She stated that she had been extremely moved by Kate and William’s kindness to her.
Liz also talked about the ten terrible rounds of chemo she has had so far. We sincerely hope that the young soul will be cured of the horrible ᴅɪsᴇᴀsᴇ soon.
