Any woman should feel extremely happy at the time of her childbirth.
A young American woman named Kerrie, however, was not as fortunate. Kerrie Keen, 36, from Clackmannan, Scotland, gave birth to sons Cooper and Lucas by emergency C-section in April 2013.
The doctors advised her of the worst and told her to say goodbye to the poor baby, Cooper , just one hour after the delivery. The new mother wanted the two to be together as much as possible, so she urged the staff to place the other baby in the incubator of her healthy sibling first.
When Kerrie brought Lucas to see his brother in intensive care in Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow, medics set up a cot next to his incubator so the twins could lie next to each other.

Cooper pulled through, with the help of his twin brother Lucas, pictured with him in hospital in a sweet moment that shows their bond for life.
After five weeks in hospital, Cooper was allowed to go home – even though doctors were still not sure what was wrong.
She told how they would often put him inside the incubator with Cooper and the tiny pair would hold hands.
Fortunately the treatment worked, but the long-term effects on Cooper were serious.
Kerrie said: “He is unable to sit unaided yet or crawl or walk.
“He relies on his family to move him around and spend time with him on the floor playing with him and his brother.”
Even though Cooper can’t walk, Kerrie says he and his brother are just as inseparable as when they were in the incubator together.
A really weird incident happened only a short while afterwards. The baby made a full recovery, had a significant improvement in his condition, and was even released after a week.
Despite not being fully recovered three years after his difficulty birth, the baby has a shot at living a normal life.
