Ingredients :
- 100g sugar
- 10 g (0.35 oz) agar agar
- 50 ml (1/5 cup) water
- 250 ml (1 cup) milk
- 250 ml (1 cup) cream
- Fresh fruit of your choice for garnish (e.g. strawberries, kiwis, berries, etc.)
Instructions :
Prepare the jelly mixture: In a small saucepan, mix 100g sugar and 10g agar-agar. Gradually add 50 ml of water until everything is well mixed.
Heat the mixture: Place the pot over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sugar and agar-agar are completely dissolved.
Add milk and cream: Reduce heat and slowly pour in 250 ml milk and 250 ml cream, stirring constantly. Heat the mixture until hot but not boiling.
Allow to cool slightly: Remove the pan from the heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly. Stir occasionally to prevent a skin from forming on the surface.
Prepare the fruit: While the mixture is cooling, prepare your fresh fruit by cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
Assemble the dessert: Arrange the sliced fruit at the bottom of serving glasses or a large bowl. Then slowly pour the jelly mixture over the fruit.
Chill: Place the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until the jelly is set.
