I was having lunch at a fast-food restaurant when I noticed a little boy—about eight years old—staring at me from across the room.
He kept sneaking glances.
Finally, curiosity won.
He walked over and asked,
“Mister… why do you look so… weird?”
I looked around to make sure no one was listening.
Then I leaned in and whispered,
“Don’t tell anybody…”
“…but I’m actually YOU…”
“…from the future.”
His eyes became as big as dinner plates.
“No way…”
I nodded very seriously.
“Yep.”
“And if you keep eating chicken nuggets every single day…”
“…and never wear sunscreen…”
“…this is exactly how you’ll end up.”
The boy slowly looked down at the box of nuggets in his hands…
Then quietly walked back to his table.
He sat there in complete silence…
Staring at his lunch like it had betrayed him.
A few seconds later…
He burst into tears.
His mom rushed over, completely confused.
“Honey, what’s wrong?”
I quickly looked away…
Took another bite of my fries…
And suddenly became very interested in my ketchup. 😂🍟🤣
