A man rushed into the doctor’s office claiming there was something seriously wrong with his lower limb. “Doc, you’ve got to check my leg. Just put your ear up to my thigh and listen!”
The doctor, highly skeptical, cautiously placed his ear against the man’s thigh, only to hear a faint voice pleading: “Can you spare twenty bucks? I really need twenty bucks!”
Dumbfounded, the doctor blinked. “I’ve never heard anything like this in my entire career!”
“That’s nothing, Doc,” the patient urged. “Listen to my knee!”
The doctor leaned down, pressed his ear to the knee, and heard a different voice whine: “Man, I’m so strapped for cash… can you just lend me ten dollars?”
“This is medically impossible,” the doctor muttered, completely bewildered.
“Wait, there’s more! Put your ear to my ankle,” the man insisted.
The doctor knelt all the way down, placed his ear by the ankle, and heard a tiny, desperate whisper: “Please, just five bucks. Anything helps, just five bucks!”
