After a training exercise, a furious sergeant stormed over to one of his soldiers.
“Soldier! Explain yourself!”
“Why did you suddenly jump out of those bushes and ruin the entire ambush?”
The soldier stood at attention.
“I’m sorry, sir.”
“I really tried to hold my position.”
The sergeant crossed his arms.
“Go on.”
“A stray dog walked over and peed on my boots…”
“…I didn’t move a muscle.”
“Then a snake slithered across my neck…”
“…I stayed perfectly still.”
The sergeant nodded.
“That’s the discipline I expect.”
The soldier took a deep breath.
“Then two squirrels ran up my pant leg.”
The sergeant blinked.
“They started running around inside my pants…”
“…and then I heard one squirrel say to the other…”
The room fell silent.
“Let’s eat one now…”
“…and save the other one for winter.”
The soldier shrugged.
“That’s when the mission ended, sir.” 😂🤣
