The Smartest Kid In The Cafeteria
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a small Catholic elementary school for lunch.
At the front of the line was a large pile of shiny red apples.
One of the nuns placed a handwritten note beside them:
“Take only ONE. God is watching.”
The children quietly moved along the line until they reached the dessert table at the other end of the cafeteria.
There sat a huge tray of warm chocolate chip cookies.
One little boy looked at the cookies, then glanced back toward the apples.
Leaning over to his friend, he whispered:
“Take as many cookies as you want…”
“God is busy watching the apples.”
