A preacher had just moved into a new neighborhood and decided to take an early morning walk to get familiar with the area.
He spotted a young boy riding his bicycle and called out,
“Son, could you tell me how to get to the post office?”
The boy happily pointed down the street.
“Sure! Go two blocks, turn right, and you can’t miss it!”
“Thank you!” the preacher replied.
Then he smiled and added,
“I’m the new pastor in town. If you come to church this Sunday, I’ll show you how to get to Heaven!”
The boy stopped his bike, looked at the preacher for a moment, and grinned.
“Seriously?”
“How are you going to show me the way to Heaven…”
“…when you don’t even know how to get to the post office?”
The preacher smiled and decided he probably needed to study the neighborhood map first.
