Two elderly friends, Ethel and Mabel, were enjoying a quiet breakfast at their favorite diner.
They chatted over coffee and pancakes, catching up on old times.
Halfway through the meal, Ethel suddenly stopped talking.
She stared at Mabel for a moment, blinked twice, and finally said,
“Mabel… I don’t mean to alarm you…”
“…but do you realize you’ve got a suppository in your left ear?”
Mabel looked completely bewildered.
“A what?!”
She carefully reached up, pulled it out, and examined it in total confusion.
The table fell silent.
After a few seconds, her eyes lit up.
She smiled with relief and said,
“Well, thank goodness you noticed!”
Ethel looked puzzled.
“Why?”
Mabel grinned and replied,
“Because now I think I finally know where I put my hearing aid!” 😂🤣
